My crash-course in 64 bits

By NailgunsRus on Saturday, April 10th, 2010

Well folks, too bad to say, but the 64 bit Windows 7 doesn’t cut it (yet?) for me. After hardly a week of working with it I decided to go back to the 32 bit version. My UAD cards did not function properly with it, only the most recent plug-ins did work (EMT140 etc), Vegas Pro didn’t install either. For Pete sake even simple stuff like Quicktime was messed up! VholdR’s Easy Edit Software did install properly, so did all my hardware, but because Quicktime failed each time I couldn’t watch the ContourHD’s test videos I shot. The positive thing about Win7 was that I could use all the RAM inside my Quadcore and to be completely honest; Cubase 5 and all the Native Instruments stuff worked like a charm! ;)

Did I say ContourHD ? Yes I did! My order came in and man, spending money never looked so good! 1080p, yeah!  Too bad I have to work this entire weekend so I can’t go to the local trails, shred my bike and shoot some vids. Bummer!

But for all of you that are in need for a Full HD helmet cam; just get one of these puppies! Really, I’m already impressed; it comes in a solid clear plastic case and that has enough space to hold all the accessories you buy. Awesome!

Well that was it so far, going to install the last few programs and updates on my Q2C and then it’s probably time to go to work, have a blast y’all.
